VETPARTNERS’ equine team will be highlighting the importance of collaboration at the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) Congress.
Our vets will be speaking at the conference, contributing to key discussions and sharing how teamwork is the key to providing the highest levels of care to our equine patients.
BEVA Congress is Europe’s largest equine veterinary event and a key date in the diary for vets, veterinary nurses, farriers and other veterinary professionals due to the clinical learning and development opportunities it offers.
It is also a chance for the teams who work in VetPartners’ equine and mixed practices all over the UK to meet up and share clinical experience and expertise, as well as connect with friends and colleagues from outside the group and enjoy social events.
People are our greatest asset
The 2020 Congress was postponed due to the pandemic, but BEVA is implementing Covid 19 safety measures to enable this year’s event to go ahead. It takes place in Birmingham from September 4th to 7th and will mark BEVA’s 60th anniversary.
VetPartners equine director Julian Rishworth, pictured above, said: “It will be great to be back at BEVA, to not only support the association but also to spend time with our teams, celebrate their successes and talk to them about their challenges and how we can best support them.
“The people who work in our equine practices and hospitals are our greatest asset and we have missed working face to face with them.”
Members of our Equine Clinical Board (ECB), chaired by Russell Parker of Liphook Equine Hospital, will also be out in force.
The ECB features in the CPD programme and members will be working on our stand to engage with colleagues and share its aims, which are to create inclusive, diverse clinical communities across our practices and provide support and clinical development for the whole team.

Russell said: “To really help progress and develop equine clinical practice we need to work with everyone, including vet nurses and vets and the client support, lab and yard teams – and our clients.
“BEVA congress is a great opportunity to talk directly to our colleagues about our current activities and we encourage everyone who is attending to pop along to the stand and join us for a coffee and a chat.”
