CHANTRY Vets in West Yorkshire has undergone further expansion following a £300,000 investment in a new surgery in Rothwell.
Chantry Vets, which has its main Veterinary Hospital in Alverthorpe, Wakefield, has converted a former grocer’s shop in First Avenue, Rothwell, into a modern surgery, boasting full operating facilities, two consult rooms, kennelling for the hospitalisation of day patients, and diagnostics equipment.
The new surgery will be Chantry Vet’s 12th site.
As well as a veterinary hospital in Batley Road, Alverthorpe, Chantry Vets owns two veterinary centres and a further eight satellite surgeries across West Yorkshire.
The new branch will serve pet owners from the north of Wakefield and south Leeds, and has opened to meet increasing demand from clients in the area.
Chantry Vets Practice Manager Victoria Lee said: “We have had a positive reaction from clients visiting the new surgery as they have been complimentary about the facilities and service.
“For more than 50 years Chantry Vets have provided high quality healthcare for small animals across West Yorkshire, and we have a lot of clients from the Rothwell area who already travel to our other surgeries.
“This new satellite branch will be much more convenient for existing clients and there is also scope to expand out client base in Rothwell as we have owners registering their pets.”
Vet Hannah Johnson will run the Rothwell surgery, while other members of the team include vet Noelia Serrano Colino, trainee veterinary nurses Amber Saunders and Chelsea Cunningham.
The new surgery has accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) under the organisation’s Practice Standards Scheme, following rigorous inspection.
Open six days a week, including Saturday afternoons, there is also on-site car parking for clients.
Mrs Lee added: “We have fully refurbished the property and converted the building into a spacious property, which we feel is ideal to meet needs of our clients and their pets.
“Our aim is to give clients access to a complete range of high quality healthcare services for the benefit of their pets, and to be able to do that we need first class premises.”
The new branch is fully supported seven days a week by the practice’s main Alverthorpe Hospital.
