Registered Veterinary Nurse – Natterjacks Vets – Poole, Dorset

** NO OOH! **

Fancy a role with no OOH on the beautiful South England coast? Come and work with us at Natterjacks! We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our RCVS accredited Poole practice. You will be working in a genuinely friendly practice in picturesque Dorset, minutes from the sea. Our growing small animal practice has all the mod cons and toys including an in-house CT scanner. Both of our sites in Poole and Bournemouth are close to the beach, with easy access to all that the Jurassic coast, Dorset countryside and the New Forest have to offer.

So, why Natterjacks?

Well apart from having the chance to live in one of the most gorgeous parts of the UK, the most important factor in joining us at Natterjacks is to be part of our team; we have an exceptionally lovely bunch of vets, nurses, and support staff who get on like a house on fire (in a good way) and have a great time together both in and out of work. We are truly proud to have recently been awarded a 3* world class accreditation by Best Companies, the highest standard for workplace engagement!

We have a variety of experience levels, backgrounds and interests, making us a dynamic team to work within. There are (many) nights out, a practice paddleboarding group, umpteen potential dog walking friends to be made, young families, runners, board gamers, photographers, cyclists, music enthusiasts and festival goers etc. Whatever wonderful talents you want to bring to the Natterjacks family will be welcomed with open arms!

Hear what our team have to say:

“I always feel supported with everything in my job and am so grateful for the opportunity that natterjack has given me. I am so proud to be able to tell people where I work and happy to be where I am, I couldn’t think of a better place to be. Being surrounded by people who are so kind and lovely to each other and the relationships between the nurses/ vets/ receptionists/ Ana’s are really close and no looking down on each other which I did have at a previous practice.  Always feel happy coming to work and never a day when I don’t go home with a story to tell and no complaints to make about natterjack at all” – Lauren

What can Natterjacks offer you?

This is a full-time position, comprising of a 38 hour week with only 1 in 4 Saturdays. We have no out of hours and are closed on bank holidays. We are also open to hearing about what rota patterns work for our team overall, so always open to reviewing this to make it work across the board for us as a team – we can be flexible over a 4 or 5 day week depending what works for you!

You will have a varied role including consulting, theatre work and inpatient care. CPD is well supported with a standard allowance of £600 per annum but additional qualifications/certificates and career progression opportunities are also encouraged and funded. As part of the VetPartners family, alongside an excellent salary of up to £29,000 DOE, you will also have access to the fantastic benefits:

  • Discounted health insurance and Veterinary fees
  • An extensive money off online shopping/voucher scheme (MyPerks)
  • Team discount
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • 6 weeks holiday per annum
  • Buy and sell holiday scheme
