We have a great opportunity for a Small Animal Vet to join the team at our busy first opinion RCVS accredited Charter practice in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. The role is full time, working 4 days per week and will involve a 2:11 Saturday morning. All OOH and in-patient care are looked after by Vets now.

Charter Newcastle is a friendly 1st opinion practice within a central location. We aim to offer first opinion services to a high standard and are particularly proud of our range of nurse led clinics and well-paced consult blocks to allow our vets regular breaks and time to focus on the work up of clinical cases.

We enjoy a positive team driven atmosphere providing support, and continuous learning is actively encouraged. All staff receive a CPD allowance. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to progress in a supportive practice, or equally would suit an experienced vet wishing to develop their own area of interest.

In Newcastle-Under-Lyme you’ll find a wealth of culture, fantastic food and drink and shop-till-you-drop opportunities in the bustling Staffordshire market town.  Located just minutes from junction of the M6, Newcastle-Under-Lyme is a thriving market town in the heart of Staffordshire.

We are a lovely, sociable team who enjoy getting together outside of work, whether it’s for our annual Christmas party or a bit of friendly competition at bowling.

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and committed individual who shares our passion for working in a busy, team orientated first opinion practice. We are keen to find someone with great communications skills and the wish to develop and add value to the team at Charter Vets in Newcastle under-Lyme.

In return we can offer the following benefits;
• An excellent salary – up to £60,000 for an experienced vet
• 6.6 weeks holiday entitlement including bank holidays.
• Workplace pension scheme
• RCVS membership reimbursed and VDS cover
• CPD allowance of £1750 (this would increase for a certificate holder)
• Certificates funded and strongly encouraged
• Enhanced sick, parental leave, Buy/Sell Holiday, and cycle to work scheme
• Staff discounts for your pets
• Healthshield wellbeing programme
• Life insurance at 1 x Salary
• Relocation packages available – T&C’s apply
