Small Animal Clinical Director

Bodrwnsiwn

Isle of Anglesey

Do you dream of a supportive team, great work-life balance, and epic outdoor adventures in one of the UK’s happiest places?

Aled, one of our long-standing Clinical Directors, is relocating and has bought a one-way ferry ticket to Ireland and we need someone to join Emma with leading our Small Animal team, whilst driving and shaping our future.

We are a well-established, multi-site, mixed practice with 15 Veterinary Surgeons, a strong team of RVN’s and team support colleagues – let’s not forget our super experienced Practice Manager.

You will need to be passionate about your work, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and either experience in, or an interest to develop business acumen. You will be working alongside Emma, our Practice Manager, Clare, as well as Stefan and John, our Large Animal Clinical Directors.

Our purpose-built main site in Mona is our hub, with exciting plans in the pipeline to extend and grow our facilities and services. Our goal is to provide and ensure a high standard of care to both clients and their pets, so we actively promote and support further education.

We feel that the team would benefit from having you full time, over 4 days, with a half day on 1:4 Saturdays. There is no out of hours work.

New to Anglesey? It’s a great place to live and work. There is so much to do and see, and for someone who loves outdoor adventures, this is paradise. We have 130 miles of coastline to explore within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and there are plenty of water sports such as paddle-boarding, kayaking, and canoeing, to name a few. If you prefer the mountains and walking, there are miles of hiking trails to explore. It’s also great for foodies, with fantastic pubs and restaurants serving fresh, local ingredients with seafood straight from the boat.

We believe in supporting and developing our team members and offer a range of benefits, including:

  • A generous salary based on your experience and skills
  • 6.6 weeks paid holiday, including bank holidays
  • Relocation support
  • £1750 CPD Allowance per annum
  • Health Shield – wide ranging contributions for health and wellbeing treatments – from dentistry to sports massage
  • RCVS Membership paid
  • Two other membership subscriptions
  • VDS cover
  • Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave and surrogacy pay
  • My Perks – offers, discounts and cashback on shopping, travel, entertainment and much more!
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • CPD including leadership training and support
  • Company sick pay
  • Annual pay reviews
  • Focus on employee wellbeing
  • Career progression opportunities
