Natterjacks Vet

We are seeking a New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join our buzzing, RCVS accredited, South Coast practice.

Welcome to Natterjacks – where our team really means everything to us!

Located across our two sister sites in Bournemouth and Poole, we emphasize on having fun at work and believe in having a great quality of life. We have a total of 9 full-time and 9 part-time vets, working across both of our branches, and are also lucky to have our truly excellent nurses, ANAs, and support team.

We always encourage a learning environment for career progression in a supportive setting. There’s a Vet GDP mentor at each site, as well as 2 certificate holders in diagnostic imaging and 1 in exotics at our Poole branch, and a vet working towards surgery certificate at Bournemouth. We offer a varied SA caseload, with a smattering of exotics if you’re keen (mostly at Poole.)

We are a really sociable team, and have the advantage of being close to good nightlife and miles of beaches, with the Jurassic Coast and New Forest on our doorstep. Our location also offers good connections to London, making it easy to go and explore everything the capital entails on your downtime.

Why would I want to work at Natterjacks?

We have an inclusive and approachable style that has enticed a diverse client base, with an interesting caseload to boot. We have something for everyone! We have a good range of equipment, and even a CT scanner at our Poole practice. We are continually investing in new facilities to provide our team with the opportunity to grow and flourish. We would support any ambition to specialise and would fund all necessary training.

As you will be part of a Graduate Development Programme at VetPartners, you will be able to embrace a blended learning approach of training days, in-house mentoring, CPD, and clinical practice, creating a varied platform for you to grow and develop as a Veterinary Surgeon. You will be offered both supportive 1-to-1 and group mentoring sessions, for engagement and interaction, as you develop an invaluable skillset. From surgical/medical experience, to enjoying teamwork, providing refined customer service, and gaining business knowledge to support the security of great patient care.

You can find out more about the programme at: https://vetpartners.co.uk/graduates/

So, what makes a good Natterjacks Vet?

You will need a splash of clinical excellence and ambition – we have grown to become one of the largest and most popular practices in the area. Subscribing to the same easy-going and positive philosophy we have will be a winning combination. We have no egos and no attitudes – we work hard for one another and our lovely clientele.

What would my work pattern look like?

The role is a 40-hour week, spread over 4 weekdays and one Saturday in 4, working 9am-4pm. No weekends/Bank Holidays/OOH, or sole charge.

We mean what we say – work-life balance is key to our team having a great quality of life!
