Abercorn Vets have an excellent opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team.  Duties will include all aspects of nursing, working in theatre, inpatient care, nurse consults, and assisting other team members where needed. Our nursing team are an extremely important part of our clinical team, ensuring the branches run smoothly whilst delivering the most exceptional care to our patients and clients.

This is a full-time role working a variety of shifts patterns. It will include 1 out of 6 Saturdays. No out of hours required or Bank Holiday cover is needed.

The salary for this role is up to £25,000.

Our dedicated first opinion practice is part of the VetPartners Group.

About Us

Our 3 branches are located in Portobello, Gilmerton, and Stockbridge and we have a range of facilities. Our main site is well-equipped with a dental suite including x-ray, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory. We are also proud to be rabbit welfare accredited (Silver) and feline friendly (status silver). We have a brilliantly supportive, skilled team who all work closely together to ensure that we provide excellent care for our clients and patients alike. The team is the best part of the practice and have several longstanding team members with a wealth of experience and we are always encouraging team development, progression and CPD. Throughout the practice we have 10 Vets, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 4 receptionists.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate would have experience in a clinical setting, a new graduated would be considered for the position. They must be conscientious, able to work closely with the clinical team and have enthusiasm for providing an excellent level of care to our patients.
