Outside of the urban areas around Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham, the rest of Wales is quieter and has successful tourism, livestock and dairy farming industries. It is also a net exporter, working towards national agricultural self-sufficiency,

The Snowdonia, Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire coast national parks make for great days out, and there are 40 Blue Flag beaches across the region.

It also has five areas of outstanding natural beauty, with Anglesey, Clwydian Range and Dee Valley, the Gower and Llyn Peninsulas and the Wye Valley offering stunning views and landscapes.
