Permanent Experienced Vet & Long term locum for Maternity

Seeking a Permanent Experienced Vet (preferred) & Long term locum for maternity cover starting from December – Caerphilly Veterinary Clinic – Caerphilly, South Wales

Our thriving small animal practice in Caerphilly is seeking an additional Experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our expanding team, along with an Experienced Locum Vet starting from December to cover Maternity leave! We are very flexible and are happy to accommodate part- or full-time working so please get in touch if you may be interested.

Caerphilly Veterinary Clinic is a busy and thriving clinic with an interesting and varied caseload – no two days are the same! We are set in a beautiful location, opposite Caerphilly Castle, with a busy shopping area surrounding us. We are close to Cardiff, with South Wales’ amazing hills and coasts on our doorstep. Ideal if you want to get out and explore!

We’re currently a four-Vet team with a wide range of experience and expertise, who are supported by an experienced and enthusiastic nursing team! Our emphasis is on client care and case continuity to ensure we build a valued rapport with our patients and their owners. Above all, we pride ourselves on our clinical standards and patient care.

As we are a small team, there are lots of opportunities to develop, and you will have less competition for the interesting cases! We are expanding rapidly and hope that the right candidate will be able to grow with us, ideally bringing new skills and interests to add to our own. We have a fantastic long standing team who are very welcoming and supportive.

We have a dedicated cat area with ISFM gold accreditation making us a ‘Gold Standard Cat Friendly’ practice. We also have all the usual kit (digital x-ray, ultrasound, etc.) and plenty of opportunities for surgical time with a high first opinion caseload.

The rota for this role is 4-day week, working 9-6. However, we can be flexible if different hours or part-time working is preferred. 1:3 Saturday mornings, working 9-12. No OOH.

Generous salary on offer for the right candidate but dependent on experience and hours, so please contact us to discuss.
