Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon looking for an awesome work:life balance, with no OOH, an incredibly loyal client base and a warm, friendly, well-bonded team ready and waiting for you? Would you like your office view and lunch time walks to be the glorious green fields of rural Gloucestershire? Look no further!
Armstrong Vets is looking for a progressive, dedicated, all-round GP vet to continue the excellent care delivered to our clients with the support of a fantastic nurse team. You will have a real opportunity to establish yourself as the local vet and continue to contribute to an already very strong reputation in the local area. We welcome new ideas from all our colleagues; this is your practice and we want you to be happy there. With access to a tier 3 hospital just a short drive up the road who also provide the OOH care, you can have total confidence in providing a range of services to meet the needs of your patients and clients.
There really are fields on your doorstep, so ensuring you get time to enjoy some fresh air each day will not be a problem. The local pizza and bakery options have been thoroughly tried and tested, you won’t be let down. We recognise the value of a work:life balance and so are very keen to explore a flexible working pattern to suit you.
Who are we?
Armstrong Vets is a single site practice, and very fortunate to have a beautiful countryside base whilst being just a very short drive from J13/J14 of the M5. Berkeley is a beautiful small town on the edge of the Cotswolds and we are easily commutable from Gloucester, Bristol, and Cheltenham. We have a busy and varied first opinion caseload to support 4 full time equivalent vets and are extremely well supported by an experienced RVN and nursing assistant team and loyal reception team. Our clients are extremely well-bonded and engaged with the practice. We work closely with other practices within our VetPartners family and so there is excellent opportunity for additional exposure to caseload, equipment and a wealth of colleague to colleague support.
What do our team say?
“We have a genuine family atmosphere; we laugh and cry together.”
“The difference is we really care about our patients, our clients, and each other.”
“Very supportive place to work.”
What will the role look like?
Ideally, this is a full-time role of 40 hours including a share in the Saturday rota, however a part time position would be considered. We are very open to explore flexible working patterns for the right person and encourage you to propose what you are after.
If you think you like the sound of us, what can we do for you?

- Salary up to £63,000 depending on experience and qualifications
