Often referred to as “God’s own country”, the rich and historic area of Yorkshire and the Humber is the largest county in the UK.
The area boasts impressive countryside and landscapes, including the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the Peak District national parks.
It also contains many areas of natural beauty, such as Niddersdale, the Howardian Hills, the Pennines and the heritage coast.
Sheffield, Leeds and Hull are thriving metropolitan and university cities with great nightlife, while areas such as York make for quieter tourist destinations.
The county is well connected to the rest of the country via the A1, and offers a prime route from London to Edinburgh. There are great air transport links with Doncaster, Leeds, Bradford and Sheffield all holding accessible and low cost carrier airports.
There are also other great transport connections to London and other prominent northern cities.
